Whats on this Easter

With Easter right around the corner, you might be on the hunt for activities to take part in with all the family next week. If you live in Consett or the surrounding villages of Shotley Bridge, Ebchester or Medomsley, keep reading to find out what’s on over the Easter holidays. 

Waterside Parks Easter Calendar 

Between Friday 29th March and Sunday 7th April, head down to Derwent Waterside Park to take part in a huge range of activities, perfect for all the family. From Easter crafts and games to egg hunts and a late-night cinema, there is plenty to get involved in throughout the week. 

Some activities must be booked in advance, so make sure to view the full list here and secure your places.   

Consett Cricket Club Easter Egg Hunt 

This Good Friday, make the trip to Consett Cricket Club for their annual easter egg hunt. Open from 12pm onwards, the event promises to be bigger and better than ever with a bouncy castle, refreshments, crafts, face painting and so much more. A fantastic way to spend the first day of the long weekend, the afternoon will be a great opportunity for some quality family time.

Blackhill Comrades Club Easter Party 

Project DJ and Nature’s Edge are teaming up this Easter to bring you an incredible family activity unlike any other on the 1st April. 

The party will get your little ones moving with a disco and fun games for them to play with their friends. Nature’s Edge will also be bringing some of their animals for you to meet from furry and feathered friends to scaly creatures, offering a truly unique Easter experience. 

During the afternoon, sweet treats will also be on offer and there will be plenty of chances to win with both a raffle and tombola taking place, plus an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny! 

Booking for this activity is essential, so make sure to register your place via Eventbrite.  

Tennis Camps at Shotley & Benfieldside Tennis Club

The fantastic tennis club that we sponsor are hosting two camps over the Easter holidays, perfect for children and teenagers aged 3 to 14. Fun and instructional, the sessions are ideal for players of all abilities and will be held daily from the 2nd - 5th and the 9th -12th of April.
